- Before using, review the Quick Cooker use and care.
- Only use Pampered Chef authorized accessories in the Quick Cooker.
- The Quick Cooker Steamer Baskets are only to be used in Pampered Chef's Quick Cooker. Do not use in other pressure cookers.
- Do not use if the product or the Quick Cooker are damaged.
- The Steamer Baskets and their contents can cause serious burns if handled improperly. Always use heat-resistant oven mitts when in contact with hot handles.
- Be sure the baskets and their contents are seated far enough down in the Quick Cooker so as not to obstruct vents under the lid.
- The baskets must fit completely below the rim of the Quick Cooker's inner pot.
- Never force the Quick Cooker lid down. Ensure the lid is in the lock position prior to starting the Quick Cooker.
- Use caution when transporting the baskets from the Quick Cooker to ensure you don't spill hot foods.
- Lift the baskets by the loop handle only.
- Protect surface with a trivet before setting a hot Steamer Basket down.
SAFEGUARDS
- Do not use in oven, microwave, broiler, or on direct heat source.
- Do not use scissors or shredders in the basket.
- Do not stack other items on top of the baskets during use.
- Do not use directly on the stovetop or on an outdoor grill.
CLEANING
- Wash before using for the first time; dishwasher-safe. Use a kitchen brush between uses to remove food buildup from mesh.
TO USE IN THE QUICK COOKER
- The baskets can be used individually or stacked.
- When only using the large basket, place the basket directly onto the bottom of the Quick Cooker.
- When only using the small basket, insert the Quick Cooker wire rack into the inner pot. Line up the feet of the basket between the wire rack feet. (See illustration.)
- When stacking the baskets:
- Place the large basket directly on the bottom of the Quick Cooker; lower the loop handle. Nestle the smaller basket on top of the large basket; lower the loop handle.
- Do not fill the large basket too high; the top basket should be level when nestled into the bottom basket.
- Do not fill the top basket past the top of the rim.
- Pair foods with similar cook times.
- Do not cook rice or lentils in the baskets.
HOW TO STEAM
- Fill the Quick Cooker with 1 cup (250 mL) water.
- Lower the basket(s) into the Quick Cooker.
- Lock the lid, select the STEAM setting, and adjust time. Press START.
- When the timer is up, manually release the pressure.
- Carefully remove the lid and lift the basket(s) out by the loop handle with oven mitts.
