Use & Care
Use & Care
- Keep children away from the stove while cooking. Be careful around the stove as heat, steam, and splatter from the product can cause burns.
- This product is not intended for use by children.
- Do not overheat your nonstick pan, as smoke or fumes from burning foods, oils, and the nonstick coating can be hazardous.
- Never leave a pan unattended on a hot burner as the pan can get extremely hot. This could lead to warping or damage to the nonstick coating.
- Gas flames should not extend up the sides of the pan. This will damage the exterior of the pan and handle, voiding the guarantee. Do not use on induction cooktops.
- Always use a heat-resistant oven mitt or pad when handling hot handles.
- Use caution when attaching and detaching the hinges. If needed, use an oven mitt or pad to hold the pan in place.
- If the nonstick coating has browned, peeled, or has exposed metal, discontinue use of the product.
SAFEGUARDS
- For use on flat glass or ceramic cooktop surfaces, consult the appliance manufacturer’s instruction manual before using for the first time.
- Do not leave the fork in the pan when the burner is on.
- To help reduce scratches on interior coating, place paper, soft cloth towels, or cookware protectors between pans when storing.
- Do not allow the handle to touch the heat source. This could melt the handle.
- Never place this product in the oven or under the broiler. The nonstick coating and the handles will be severely damaged, voiding the guarantee.
- Not microwave- or grill-safe.
- Do not use nonstick sprays on the cookware as they cause an invisible buildup and impair the nonstick coating performance. Do not overheat oil, butter, or shortening. This will create a sticky residue that will affect the release of the nonstick and result in a reduced life of the coating.
- Avoid sliding or dragging cookware over the surface of your stovetop, especially glass top ranges, as scratches to the cookware are deemed to be normal wear and tear and thus are not covered by the guarantee.
- Do not use any type of metal utensil with this product, as they will cause permanent damage to the nonstick coating and will void the guarantee.
- Scratches to the nonstick coating are considered normal wear and tear and will not affect performance.
CLEANING
Waffle Puff Pan
- Wash before using for the first time; hand wash only. Use hot, soapy water with nonabrasive sponge or cloth.
- Thoroughly clean cookware after every use.
- To deep clean:
- To remove stubborn spots, soak in hot, soapy water and wash by hand. You can use a nonabrasive sponge or cloth to clean the exterior and interior surfaces.
- For tougher food buildup or occasional deep cleaning, prepare a baking soda paste by mixing ½ cup (125 mL) of baking soda with 3 tbsp (45 mL) of water. Apply to the desired areas and let it stand for 15–20 minutes. Wipe off excess paste, rinse thoroughly, and towel dry.
- To remove residue from the hinges, clean with a kitchen brush.
Fork
- Wash before using for the first time; dishwasher-safe.
- Can discolor from turmeric-based foods, such as curry or mustard. To minimize discoloration, soak in a solution of bleach and water (refer to bleach bottle label for details).
USE AND CARE
- Pan detaches at hinges for use, cleaning, and storage. (See illustration.)
- Preheating of pans should not exceed 3–5 minutes.
- Cookware is intended to be used over burner on low and medium heat settings, and medium‑high for short intervals. Prolonged use over one burner or use of higher heat setting could cause warping or damage to the coating and will void the guarantee. Cookware may be used on a glass or ceramic cooktop, electric coil, or gas burner range.
- Always match the diameter of cookware to glass top and ceramic cooktop burner diameters and position the vessel centrally over the burner. The burner diameter should not extend beyond the base of the cookware.
